EARTH CONCLAVE 2026
National Youth Environmental Engagement Initiative
Organized by Young Climate Action Network (YOUCAN)in collaboration with ActionAid Bangladesh in observance of World Environment Day 2026.
About the Conclave
Earth Conclave 2026 is a national youth environmental engagement initiative designed to inspire, engage, and amplify youth voices on environmental sustainability, climate action, and resilience across Bangladesh. The initiative combines nationwide online participation with a final national-level conclave and recognition event, creating an inclusive platform for young people to showcase creativity, strengthen environmental awareness, and contribute to climate dialogue through knowledge-based engagement and visual storytelling.
Through the National Photography Competition and National Climate Quiz Competition, Earth Conclave 2026 seeks to encourage youth to reflect on environmental realities, document local challenges, enhance climate literacy, and promote solution-oriented thinking for a more sustainable future.
Eligibility
The program is open to young people aged 13–30 years residing in Bangladesh, including:
• School, college, and university students
• Youth volunteers and community leaders
• Climate and environmental advocates
• Emerging photographers and storytellers
• Young professionals and sustainability enthusiasts
Competition Categories
Participants may register for one or both categories.
National Photography Competition
Theme: Climate Through My Lens: Vulnerability, Resilience and Impact
Participants are invited to submit one original photograph that captures environmental challenges, climate impacts, ecological change, community resilience, biodiversity, or nature-based solutions within their local context.
Submission Requirements:
• One original photograph
• JPG, JPEG, or PNG format
• Caption of up to 100 words explaining the context and significance of the image
• Basic editing permitted; manipulation that alters the authenticity of the image is not allowed
National Climate Quiz Competition
Theme: Climate Knowledge and Environmental Awareness
The online quiz will assess participants’ understanding of:
• Climate science and environmental systems
• Climate change impacts and adaptation
• Bangladesh’s environmental and climate context
• Biodiversity and sustainability
• Global environmental agreements and climate action initiatives
Participation Guidelines
• Participation is open to eligible youth from all districts of Bangladesh.
• Participants may register for one or both competition categories.
• All submitted materials must be original and created by the participant.
• Any form of plagiarism, misinformation, or misconduct may result in disqualification.
• The decision of the evaluation panel shall be final and binding.
• Detailed competition instructions and timelines will be shared with registered participants.

Selection and Recognition
Submissions will be evaluated by an independent review panel based on category-specific criteria.

• Special Jury Recognition (where applicable)
Selected participants will be recognized during the final Earth Conclave 2026 event.
