While the nation’s capital, Dhaka, witnessed the largest mobilization with over 1,000 youths, activists, and citizens converging at Manik Mia Avenue, the spirit of climate justice resonated far and wide, reaching some of the country’s most vulnerable regions.

Dhaka: The Heart of the Movement In Dhaka, the strike was a vibrant display of youth power, jointly organized by YOUCAN, Fridays For Future – Bangladesh, and ActionAid Bangladesh, alongside an impressive coalition of over 35 youth and civil society organizations. Sunamganj District, Sylhet Division: In this highly vulnerable haor district, YOUCAN mobilized climate-enthusiastic youths, ensuring their powerful calls for climate justice were heard through creative expressions.
Chittagong District, Chittagong Division: YOUCAN was instrumental in organizing a robust strike, where passionate youths gathered to voice their demands for a secure future, emphasizing their commitment to climate action.
Sirajganj District, Rajshahi Division (Rabindra University): YOUCAN took the lead in mobilizing students and young people at a prominent university, amplifying their messages for affected communities through various forms of protest.
Habiganj District, Sylhet Division: YOUCAN played a crucial role in organizing a significant climate strike, bringing together passionate youths to stand in solidarity with the global movement.
Dinajpur District, Rangpur Division (HSTU, Basherhat): YOUCAN spearheaded the climate strike in Dinajpur, where youths passionately demanded urgent climate action, making their concerns visible through powerful messages.
Patuakhali District, Barishal Division: In this highly climate-vulnerable district, YOUCAN organized a particularly poignant strike. Here, the voices of children were amplified, as they directly demanded their fundamental rights to a safe, clean, and sustainable future. This strike underscored YOUCAN’s focus on the most impacted segments of the population.
Sylhet District, Sylhet Division: On April 11, 2025, YOUCAN was a primary force behind a spirited rally in Sylhet, a region frequently impacted by flash floods. The event underscored the immediate need for action in such susceptible areas, echoing the demands of frontline communities for immediate climate action.
Rajbari District, Dhaka Division: Also on April 11, 2025, YOUCAN organized a significant gathering, bringing together youth and civil society partners to stand in solidarity with the global movement. This powerful demonstration served as a clear reminder that climate action cannot wait.
